Who will benefit from postpartum massage?

Mummy after normal Delivery

This massage is done once discharge from hospital after normal delivery depending on individual convenience. It is usually done in the privacy of one’s own home during their confinement period. The sessions will usually commence anytime in between the 5th day to before 3 months. In the case that the mother is not comfortable upon reaching home and needs more time to adjust to the situation then the sessions can commence on a later date, maybe in a week or two.

Mummy after Caesarean Delivery

In the event of a Caesarean Section (C-Section) then it must be performed after the incision has closed properly. The massage will then commence usually after 2-4 weeks later. Mummies can still have massage on the body without disturbing the tummy due to fresh wound to soothe the aching all over their body & reduce serious water retention.
